A Team Lead isn’t just someone who is responsible for keeping up with deadlines and tasks, we want a real leader when it comes to developing your developers' professional and personal growth. As the team lead, you will be in charge of keeping the Task Force autonomous and free of obstacles to ensure it operates at velocity. What is a Task Force? You may be familiar with the term “squad” or simply “teams” at other organizations. Healthy.io is mission-driven and as such we operate using independent and proactive Task Forces. Healthy.io Task Forces are split across our different product offerings. A task force is comprised of a Product Manager and a Designer, Backend Developers and Front End Developers. Each Task Force is co-led by a Team Lead and a Product Lead to ensure we maintain a holistic view from a technological perspective and product perspective.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Backend developer preferably working with Node.js and Google Cloud
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership position, including HR management of developers
- Experience leading software design and architecture
- Good business and processes understanding, excited about the business. Strong ability to work closely with Product - establishing new processes with the team
- Flexible technologies mindset - ability to see the full picture in system design. Love to learn and try new technologies. Not afraid of leading devs from outside the technical domain you were brought up in.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 6-8 developers
- Responsible for the short-term and long-term strategic planning of the Task Force in collaboration with product leads
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of developers, researchers, product managers, designers, sales, and other stakeholders, within and outside the task force
- Set the standard for the team in terms of both cutting-edge research and best practice engineering principles
- Ability to acquire an in-depth understanding of the team’s multidisciplinary challenges, from whether BE, FE, or Data
- Implement automatic and effective production processes and cross-system integration.
