Front End Architect

About the position

Healthy.io is the first company to successfully turn the smartphone camera into a clinical-grade medical device, enabling faster treatment and improved care for patients worldwide.

Headquartered in Tel Aviv with 240 employees across London, Boston, and Singapore, we are growing fast as we serve more and more patients across ever-expanding areas of healthcare.

Within Healthy.io, the front-end team is responsible for a wide variety of websites and web apps, enabling our commercial implementations, new product development, manufacturing and quality control, clinical trials, and lab experiments.

Because we work in the medical field, our apps must be especially resilient, reliable, and user-friendly. We hold ourselves to the highest standards and thus you should be able to carefully lead the architecture and development of new apps or features while being mindful of the smallest details. You should also be discerning about and comfortable with modern JavaScript tooling, libraries, and frameworks.

This is a challenging and high-responsibility position in which you will get to guide a team of highly skilled engineers working on mission-critical applications.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Deep understanding of front end tools and practices (bundling, transpiling, static analysis, testing, performance, a11y, i18n)
  • Extensive knowledge of React and its ecosystem (routing, state management, architecture)
  • Experience as a tech lead/principal engineer/guild leader
  • Very high level of spoken and written English
  • Strong analytical thinking, systematic problem-solving skills
  • Organized with the ability to assume control of complex processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Next.js and headless CMSs - Advantage.
Role & Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of front-end repositories, architecture, roadmap, and set coding best practices
  • Mentor other front end developers on best work practices, UI, UX, architecture, and development tools
  • Take the leading role in the design and development of the frontend domain
  • Be accountable for major architectural decisions from design to production
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of developers, researchers, product managers, designers, sales, and other stakeholders.
