At Healthy.io, we are dedicated to delivering healthcare at the speed of life, striving to ensure our digital experiences are user-friendly for everyone, including people with disabilities. We are committed to digital accessibility, complying with applicable regulations, and striving towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

To accomplish this in our mobile apps, we have partnered with Level Access to continue to develop our digital accessibility efforts. Level Access’s accessibility program, which is composed of a diverse team of accessibility professionals, including users of assistive technologies, evaluated and audited our digital products in accordance with industry best practices.

The following capabilities, among others, are supported by the app:

• Adjustable for multiple mobile phones of different screen sizes
• Magnification - zoom in on content within the app using the built-in accessibility settings of the smartphone
• Color correction/inversion - adjust the colors presented on the screen from the phone’s settings
• Multiple font sizes - adjust the size of the text displayed in the app using the built-in accessibility settings

We’ve also made the smartphone applications’ text as simple as possible to understand and use easy-to-navigate menus and controls. A Flesch-Kincaid readability test was conducted on the text in the app, and it was determined to be equivalent to a 6th-grade level English.

As part of our efforts to ensure high accessibility across Healthy.io’s mobile app and websites, there may be some limitations, which counter the accessibility guidelines, but derive from the nature of the device design. Among these limitations are:

• The app only functions in a portrait view
• The app cannot be operated using an external keyboard

Our website includes an accessibility widget, which can be triggered by clicking on the ‘Accessibility’ link at the bottom of our web pages. This tool enables our website visitors to make various adjustments, with the aim of making the website as accessible as possible.
