Healthy.io is the first company to successfully turn the smartphone camera into a clinical-grade medical device, enabling faster treatment and improved care for patients worldwide. Our products combine computer vision and machine learning technology with best-in-class UX design to create new clinical pathways through smartphone-powered urinalysis, digitized wound management, and beyond.

Headquartered in Tel Aviv with 240 employees across London, Boston, and Singapore we are growing fast as we serve more and more patients across ever-expanding areas of healthcare.

With the company's growth and more than 15 backend developers, we're looking for a Back End architecture leader who can help shape current and future design by collaborating with a team of BE professionals deployed in the various tasks force and building a small group of experts who will head the BE infrastructure work. Our technological stack is very rich, relying heavily on Node.js, Postgres, seasoned with some Go and a touch of Python. We love cloud infrastructure and are 100% Dockerized and orchestrated using Kubernetes. On all platforms.

Because we work in the medical field, our backend deployments must be especially resilient, reliable, and app-friendly (web and mobile). We hold ourselves up to the highest standards, and our developers should be able to carefully architect and develop new services while being mindful of the smallest details. We also make sure we are versed in the most up-to-date modern backend tooling, libraries, and frameworks.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience developing backend systems.

At least 4 years of experience in a cloud environment (either GCP or AWS).

At least 2 years of experience using a modern orchestration system like Kubernetes.

At least 3 years experience with JavaScript and Node.js.

Proven experience in leading developers - directing and indirectly 

High level of spoken and written English to communicate with our partners overseas 

A smart, independent and efficient learner.

Experience in operating deployments in production is a major advantage.

Experience in integrations with external systems is a major advantage.

Proficiency with the Go is an advantage.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead a team of 15+ developers, directly managing 2-3 of them and being a professional focal point for the rest

Consolidate technologies and processes to create a first grace technical environment 

Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of developers, researchers, product managers, designers, sales, and other stakeholders.

Be responsible, deliver on time, and own your projects.

Keep up to date with the best practices and patterns in backend design and development.
