Corporate Counsel - US Operations

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience within a leading health plan, a healthcare system or a healthcare-focused law firm.
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school, with a strong academic record.
  • Must be admitted to the bar of Massachusetts or a member of another state’s bar and eligible for in-house certification in Massachusetts.
  • Knowledge and experience with privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Superior legal analysis skills and client-service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft, negotiate, and interpret complex contracts and work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Commercial Contracts. Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts with leading partners in the healthcare industry such as health plans, health systems, pharma companies and more – all in the U.S.
  • Legal and Regulatory Advice. Advise on legal and regulatory aspects of telemedicine and digital health in the U.S., including corporate practice of medicine, remote prescribing, medical device licenses and the anti-kickback statute, as well as TCPA and marketing regulation. 
  • HIPAA and Privacy. Reviewing BAAs with vendors and customers and advise on HIPAA and privacy laws.
  • Vendor Agreements. Draft, review and negotiate contracts with vendors and services providers to support the ongoing work of the company in the U.S.
