● Assembly: Perform precision mechanical assembly of prototypes using hand tools, power tools, and fasteners.

● Testing & Validation: Set up and run experiments to test prototype durability, performance, and failure points; document results clearly.

● Design Support: Solve design challenges, Update CAD models based on manufacturing feedback (Design for Manufacturing - DFM) and assist in creating technical drawings.

● Shop Management: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.

● Sourcing: Help identify and order off-the-shelf components (bearings, motors, fasteners, resins, etc.) required for builds.

Requirements

● Currently pursuing a BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

● CAD Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc)

● 3D Printing: Experience with slicing software (e.g., Cura, PrusaSlicer) and troubleshooting print failures.
